| will a large box 10 cubes or more pressurize at 70 hertz or does a smaller enclosure pressurize better at higher frequencies | |

| I'm no expert, but we'd need atleast rough estimates of cone area, power, and port area.
My gut says that as long as the enclosure is a little undersized for the subs (for their power range)... you should have no trouble wangin' hard, as long as you manage your port area carefully.
Is this going in the walled Pathfinder? If so... 70 Hz... *nosebleed*

| yea its in the pathfinder but u now as well as i do with different size enclosures all the porting and everything changes i heard that a large vented enclosure would have a haredr time pressurizing than a smaller but i need to find this out from you all before i design next build | |

| Larger isn't always better. Programs show they are, but thats just how they go. Build and test is the best way. Smaller will handle more power better where as larger is more freeairand power reduces. Some things to consider. | |

| I had to learn the hard way by building a large enclosure for 4 18's and the TL gave me a 151. So I cut the box down by 3sqft and it gave me a 157. In my case smaller was better. It all depends on what your goal is; lows, mids, or highs................ | |

| you could live in a box thats 70 cubes LOL. build it to 70 cubes and then start adding layers of wood to reduce the size. test then add wood then test then add wood. repeat lol | |

| The box in our car started at about 18 cubes. It has been layered and shrunk down to I think 12ish. That is huge for what are basically 4 twelves, but it works for our setup. It all comes down to try it and make sure to start big.
Also our car's note is 69 Hz. It seems to do pretty good.
