I totally agree with having a judges training, but that isn't going to eliminate the problem those of us that go to the training need to make an effort to actually go and judge when asked- I understand that there are some competitors that judge and compete, and it might cut in to you girl chasing time, but in order to clear the problem of untrained judges then people need to not act like prissy sq premadonnas and actually step up and judge. Now I will admitt I am nowhere near trained in sound quality, could not tell you how a good car should sound- why cause my ears aren't that sensative and because I haven't actually sat in that many cars to hear the difference, so thats why I don't judge the sound part of the competition and will not do it no matter what. I will however and do judge install mainly cause I am pretty nit picky and probably one of the biggest assholes around. So before we all go and staart pointing fingers at USACI make sure to look at yourself and ask how many events do I actually step up and judge at. Twisted Evil

I had difficulty getting out of Chris's car and the Expedition last year. Not too bad...just had dificulty. I like door handles...I'm fat and lazy. LOL

I mean come on being able to read helps but to grab a scoresheet and jump in a car and go down the list... NO that is not how it should be done guys.. And ive seen it toooooo many times, If you ask me that is shortchanging compeditors that travled to a show to learn something.

Then what qaulifies them to give advise on how to make the system better.... Say that compeditor is told bye a pretend judge to change this and that and this and that... Then he goes to a show and a true qaulified judge is there and NAILS him on all that this and that crap.... And that judge says hey there is no reason for you to have to have that... As a judge i fear this at every show i judge. Then i have to smooth things over.. Or hell i just tell them the truth and say well sorry but that guy knows SPL not SQ sorry and fix it if you want to do well.... I mean what else can you say...

In my eyes yes it fixes things at the time but the later consiquences are the ones that effect that compeditor... Just my 2 cents... So train all of them... Hell ill even ask to see the Judges badge to make sure they are somewhat legit and you would be suprised at how many go... Hmmmmmmm i never got one... Well it wasn't cause they took the test and it just hasn't showed up yet... But simply they never took the test and was asked bye another to help out .. Cause hell its not that hard ... YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH RIGHT... To do it right it surely is tough.

Judged by some of the biggest pricks in the circuit...lol.
they were all great judges but very tough.

I know what your talking about Bro.... I kinda sit back and scratch my head and nutts seeing people that don't belong. All I can hope and pray is that they help and teach our fellow young SQers.

I am being curious, about judging at Omaha, NE Finals and still learning that new trade, an miss the seriousiness and hearing the great designs of sound like an orchestra, on the sound stage.
