Hmmm....I was thinking you would be in the 160's with 6 15's and 6 2500's??? Yeah thats why I only have 4 15's...just fits better. Are you tuning all out spl or a little of both Bobby??

If you reinforce the old cones they should hold up well. Did you weld the cage in there yet bobby? If you were eating coils on the mojo's with a 2500d on each something wasn't right. Like Kenny said, we had a pair of 4000d's on a pair of 15's for a while and didn't do bad with them. I think that whole season of the Romano even with as much as he played them we only melted the coils twice, and folded the cone on one or two. One of the failures was at finals after he got beat and was upset he just played it for like 20 minutes straight at full tilt lol. You cannot use a big box though to make those subs work.

If you go with the X 18's you should talk to Michael Hughes(spl2k) or Loren(sologhost). The info I gave you about how to build the structure of the enclosure though still stands. Reference Bruce and Erik's street beat posts to see pictures of the steel frames Wink

Matt, thanks and yeah I am going to reinforce everything the best I can,I think thats what happened to me on the mojo's,just playing it to much at one time, especially new subs and all,the enclosures ended up being 6.5 cu ft per pair/2500 each sub.It was my fault they faiuled as they did.I just want to try the solo X's and see how well they will do,got like 7 cu ft per 18 to use if I do 3 of them. This is all been a learning experience for sure.

I wouldnt go that big per sub with the solo x's either kind of big if your going to put 2 2500s on each 18

Yeah I have learned build boxes a lil on the smaller side...they seem to do better with most woofers. I used to run 9515's in 6.5 cubes each and now I do about 4 cubes a piece and have done 2 cubes a piece for all out spl.
