| I was curious, has anyone tried to recreate a CRX-like air space, in an SUV?
Not really a traditional wall, but just a sloped back wall and a platform. I'm thinking this could drastically increase the cabin gain, using the "tapered horn" effect that Rex's have.
note: I realize it's the same theory as a wall, but I need to have a removable SPL setup for autocross weekends.

| Thanks guys. I'll look up "Little boy blue" ... come blow your horn. And see if he's willing to divulge any tips/tricks from his experiences.
I need to pull out the stops, so I can reach my goal of 145, with the current equipment.

| Are you referring to this guy? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5BOcvLaerUCause that's 4 18's in an Astro wall... phenomenal number, and the smoke monster has been appeased with the ritual sacrifice. Similar vehicle, but not the same setup. | |

| This is the one you guys are referring to, right? It's a giant fold-around horn. pretty brilliant bit of work, actually. | |

| Step 1. Cut a hole in a box Step 2. Put your box in a box Step 3. Let Termlab open the box (and think you're a CRX) The box will sit ON the back seats, and there will be a back wall (or two). Features to add before finals: PVC rounded corners, baffle extension to the floorboards, bracing, and solid mounting to the vehicle. We'll see how the build goes. Could be a disaster, but theoretically, this should decrease air space in the cabin, and getting a nice horn effect. Any suggestions or comments? | |
