A colleague of mine has a couple of old Punch amps. One is a Punch 40, the other is a Punch 160. He was wondering what kinda price the 160 would bring, should he decide to sell it. Any ideas?
It sure brought back old memories of my first amp--the Punch 25. Boy, I sure do miss that lil beast. I don't even recall what I ever did with it.

As nice as the amp was in it's day. It's just mediocre today. Other than nostalgia, it's real world worth is $50-$100. Rated at 80 X 2. The amp produced a bit more power than rated. Today's amps 125 X 2 cost new $200-$350. With the value of car audio in such a dismal state. Used or second hand equipment only brings half or less than original price.

Business has been pretty slow. If not for one customer we would have nothing to do. 5 weeks ago we got a Dodge Magnum to install 4 L7 10" with a 2500.1 and a couple 4 channel amps. Three weeks later he brings us his Ford high top conversion van. Double din running three 4 channel amps, 12 speaker, 4 xxx6500d pushing 4 xxx18" from Soundstream. All powered by a Mechman 270 amp alternator and 10 XS Power 14 volt batteries. This install is kicking our a$$.

i am xfl leader, i had a mtx4202 it done like 350 at 1ohm425 on 14.4 volts damn i love that amp with my 2 alpine e's oh hell yea the memories lmao. i threw the "Female dog" in the trash cause the rca's went out on it an didn't know of anyone to fix it. what i am sayin is those type amps mean a Dung Pile load to us or the guy who bought it cause it was prolly his first amp an it was a beast but to someone else its just another amp. good luck with the sale though man. if it was a mtx4202 i would give ya a 100 for it lol
