Do We Need Points for Finals?

Just a quick question, since Street Beat has grown alot ... and Finals are "right around the corner"

Are we still operating under the "one event gets you to Finals" rule... or are we doing 200 pts rule?

It won't be an issue for me, but I just wanted to clarify this for the 2010 season competitors.

I heard they weren't doing that this year but I don't know for sure.

yep it was said at finals street beat will be like all other classes ya need 200

they night want to put that on the updated rules then. funny how they changed everything else on the rules but nothing about the 200 points was mentioned.

Says nothing about it in the rules so i guess nothing has changed.

So is there a good reason for upping the requirement to 200 pts?

1) To prove your loyalty (financial investment) in USACi.
2) To make sure only "serious" competitors get metered.
3) To make it exclusive and add to the cool factor.
4) To make sure that SupaDave stays focused on getting vids of the best competitors.
5) To prevent locals from breaking our records.
6) To prevent locals from wasting time just to get a 130 dB run.

I know ralph has said it would be a requirement, but yet the rule book still says this.

Rule # 14.

"14. Any current USACI member who competes in at least one Street Beat event will be invited
to compete in Street Beat at the USACI world finals."

so you tell me.

i was told the other day it is half of your 200 needs to be in your streetbeat class but you need 200 total. this came from ralph

Then site needs a little update if thats the case.

i haven't heard that but once i heard it at finals but tht was the last i heard of it

Well it's like 5 months till finals. And the rules say no point requirement.

Everyone that quaifies for World Finals needs at least 200 points and 100 in the class they wish to compete in (hence 1/2). This also is for the StreetBeat Classes and just hasn't been updated in rules. I will get that fixed asap so there is no confusion.

I didn't mean to cause more work for you, but I guarantee that anyone who got "left out" would vocalize... causing alot of fire, brimstone, gnashing of teeth, etc.

i still think its scrwed up. its in the rules. But now They want to change it mid year.. this is something that should have been communicated and not left in the rules if usac wasnt going to honor it.

Wait, somebody told me that it was 200 total and 75 in whatever class you want to run in? Or is that for burp classes and not SB classes?

thats for all classes

OK, so as long as I have 200 points overall and 100 points in the class or classes I want to run I'm good? Example, I want to run two classes, SB and mod 2001-4000, so as long as I have 100 points in each of those classes I'm OK?

hey man where do you live in houston,were going to have to get together one sat. and get you into the 150's all it takes is 1 day.

thats a big 10/no lol cobra's are usually foundeded in deserts which are dry climates some woods aren't dry enough for cobra's so to answer your question no cobra's don't hump in the woods an no you can't get a 150 in one day...........................................
