| I read a post a little further down, but I didn't see any info there I could really use. Anyone care to share some head unit experience? I need a unit $200 or under for a daily driver that won't skip around 153 db legal (hopefully). Ipod front jack is preferred, but not neccesary. | |

Yeah I'm loving the double din, it was supercheap so I thought what the hell if it don't work ill put it in my other car. But 200 shipped it sounds good with 4v pre outs blutooth, nav, dvd, ipod and a 30 second anti skip I burp over 150 in a trunk and it hasent skipped at all. | |

| LA-CRX, do you happen to know the model number offhand? Need a single DIN, but I can't find the Clarion listed above, and Eclipse's site literally has 0 lbs of information on it. Looks like it's being rebuilt or something. Ace, do you know if all of the Clarion DZX line has anti-skip built in? I was able to find a DXZ385USB, but not the 575. | |

| my rex was doing 154's and playing music in the 152's and it never skipped...it has a built in 40sec memory buffer that has to be turned on in the deck...if not it will skip like most decks at that level | |

| I hated that rule when I last competed. I remember I could only find minidisk players that actually had anti-skip, so I bought one to enter some port wars. I went to a competition, did a 166.5db (I'll never forget that ) and then got disqualified because the single hz tone I burped was on a minidisk. I understand the rule, but until cd players can support the need we require, shouldn't it be lifted unless it's a final event? | |
