| Current flow is a big issue. Copper is a lot more conductive. Maybe twice as conductive. Someone else may know the specifics.
When I was wiring my new breaker panel, code requirements were 2/0 awg copper or 4/0 awg aluminum. | |

| In the short distance you are running alum is fine and slot cheaper. | |

| Copper would be the best choice and give you less voltage drop than aluminum over long distances. Use thin wide sections that will give you more surface area. | |

| these are 1/4 thick but there not long enough to go all the way acrost the truck so I was wondering about copper I know it is 40 percent more conductive but you can compinsate with size . So splice them or buy copper or replace with longer aluminum? | |

| so go buy some like it and make extensions it doesnt affect it at all i won 3 titles like this no problem | |

| be carefull there are some at the home depot that are not conductive man so ensure there conductive | |

| Some alum bars have a coating on them that needs cleaned off before it will work. | |
