03 Focus ZX4. Can it get Loud?

Whats up everybody. I've got my little focus sedan that is probably gonna be my only comp. vehicle this year. It's a trunk car. Last year I hit a 145.00 in 0-1000 trunk with 4 Powerbass PS-10's and An MD3D with a run of 4 gauge and that's it. I upgraded to 6 10's and bout 6 cu.ft subs up ported out the drivers side and mustered a dissapointing 146.2 but never got to run it. I'm thinking of a pair of 12's this year and running my ED nine.1 on them. Anybody have any experience with these cars? Can they get loud? or should I just get my buddies explorer sport and have fun? Any help is greatly appreciated. I keep reading all these posts of people doin 150's 152's 53's

I have never had a Ford but any car can get loud if the person that is building it uses right stuff with the right techniques !

I agree. I'm just a little out of my element here. I'm used to Hatches and my Bronco II which did very well. That truck did a 149.3 with 3 OLD school Soundstream SPL 15's and a Rubi1002 with a 35 amp Altenator and Wal-Mart Battery. That was easy. subs forward port back.

this works ok. Easy , cheep! One sub one amp and one batt ! 152.6 when both one ohm coils hooked up and 151 with only one working!

How bigs that port? 6 or 8 Inch?

8" port 23" long!

I've seen that set up b4, Just need to get my hands on some 8" tube. I've got access to a termlab. just need some MDF and a little time. thanks for the input Chris. I'll see what I can do and maybe I'll try running 0-1000 trunk again.

I have had very good luck with square ports.

So have I in the past. Maybe this afternoon I should slap something together to test and tune. If I get time

Make the 10+ inch port out of wood.

I must not look hard enough for that stuff man. Biggest I can find to buy is 6" and my dad can hook me up with 8" Don't know if I've seen 10" outside of industrial construction sites.
