I decided to go with 2 Cactus 5ks in SSNW 1801+

I am purchasing these Cactus 5ks amps this weekend. So that mean jimbo, Im coming for ya. Na not really, but I already have 130 points in this class. Plus the SSNW 601-1800 class are hitting big numbers as well. So either I bring it or stay home. I wanted to beat sanman last year in this class, but I had some system failures. Not that I would have caught him, but it did spoil my chances for 2nd or 3rd. This year I am giving it my all in this class. Im only at 158.8 so I have to make up at least 4-5dbs. So Im getting bigger amps and rebuilding my box. I am hoping for at least a 161dbs. I know that won't be good enough for 1st, but maybe a 2nd or 3rd. I got an email saying that top 3 in your class at finals are eligible for cash prizes. I won my class at padre so that also helps qualify me for cash. See you at finals and maybe Austin Jimbo, oh and the other hard hitters. Im not calling you out, just letting you know Im chasing you. Don't take this the wrong way, your a cool a$$ dude, and I think it will be fun. I wont go on and on about little updates, but when I get some scores, you'll be the first to know.

good luck, but on 16v 3 600's is greater than 2 5k's

you may be right, but you have to go out and pay someone to mod them. They dont come ready for 18 volts. If I had the money to buy 3 pf600s and could afford to have them modded, then thats the route I would have taken. Im hoping later down the line I can afford another cactus 5ks.
My first choise was 3 RD D5s
my second was to buy 3 modded PF600s
third was 2 cactus 5ks, and hope one day I could afford to buy another one.

Where are you from?
I will be in the USA in WI on April 8th to April 12th, then it's off to Buffalo NY for another day.
Maybe we could meet up and could give you some pointers on your build.
I am trying to get to meet as many CS as possable. On the 11th there is a show, I will be there to see some Team CS members in action.

Some time down the road I will be back for a show 3x show in NY. Then I will make a road trip not sure were we start from and were we end up. But it would be realy cool to meet up with some of you guys.

I live in San Antonio Texas, and I go to all shows within 250 miles, and if the show is cool enough, I travle farther, like South Padre, and World Finals, wherever it will be this year.
I will be running 2 cactus 5ks this year, and when I can gather enough for a third, I'll be running that. I do plan on being competitive for finals. Last year I was ~160dbs in prostock 1801+, but had an amp and a sub blow on me. I only managed a 158.8 with one 15 less and 1 MC1.4000 less, (which was less than 1db for a top 3 finish). This year all my testing will be done way before finals to prevent that this year. If I could have found some modded PF600s I would have loved to run that instead, but it didnt happen. If there was an olympic style stage with a 1st 2nd 3rd spot, you would definetly see me up there this year. I went last year to finals for experience, this year Im going to place within the top 3 spots!!!

get rid of those mojo subs and get some good ones........DC is what i run...but everyone has there opinion
