98 mustang, tryin to figure out the best way to go here, either 2 15's ported or 4 15's sealed. gotta get it done before the show in orange. which should i go with?

look for the most db's. and i dont have time to try both

depends you wanna daily driver or a spl number getter
if so got with 4 15's sealed for daily driver , spl 2 15's or 2 18's for sspl but your caben has to be completely sealed for that though

Ported!

2 15's ported will hit better numbers than 4 sealed. My 1st year 2 yrs ago I started with 4 12's in a sealed box, hit a 141db. Got a ported box and downsised to two and hit a 143 same car and amp. Hope that helps.

where do you plan to put all this? I know its not going in the trunk!

If your looking for higher numbers on the meter (which you will see only a couple times a year) then a ported box for the 2 15's, if you want to be a street pounder in your vehicle driven daily then 4 15's sealed is the way to go.

yea i do plan on doing a wall, right now I'm running 2 15's and 3 10's but its all sealed. But I don't know anything about ported boxes that's why its still sealed. Any one know what the best box specs would be for 2 15's ported for spl

I'm not knocking the sealed boxes at all that's all i have run so far, and that's all my uncles ever ran and he set the record in 2003 in was 4 18's in a Chevy hatchback sealed but he doesn't know anything about ported boxes either

So if anyone could help out with what the box size and port should be i would really appreciate that

Not sure on this, but I ran 2 15's sealed, and then tried one 15 ported.
Got 144 with the 2, and got 151 with one ported.
I had box space issues, so I could not give 2 subs the proper box size, but still, was no comparison.

well nebrsq i was gonna wall it up if i needed to so i don't think space would be this issue but i could be wrong i just need to know about what the box should be built at.

i have more than enough power for the woofers i have, im runnin two 15's and 3 10''s as soon in my avitar with a planet audio 1400d behind the 15's and a MA 800 on the ten with a couple of caps. I decided on the 2 15's ported i just needs box size and port size i dont know anything about ported boxes
