| hi guys, most of you don't know me, i competed in spl back in the 04-05 seasons and used to be very active on this forum, well i've decided its time for me to get back into spl comps, i've been reading up on the new class structures (well new to me), and i think i'm gonna give a shot at the trunk 0-1000 class since it doesn't look like it gets too much action here in mississippi. I remember some years back alot of amps were getting reclassed and outlawed, for me to start building a setup for the 1-1000 class, i don't wanna get an amp rated at 1000w @4ohms only to find out it has been outlawed or redefined, do any of you know where there maybe a current list of 0-1000 amps? some that i have looked at recently for that class is the xfire 4000d, and the RD D9, any help is appreciated, thanks guys. | |

| Yes i realized that too, but unless i can get a combo to develop more power than a single amp, i prefer a single amp since i will more than likely run a single sub. If not then i have to strap a pair of amps on a single sub. Until i do alot more digging into newer amps, etc, i haven't seen too many 500w @4ohm rated amps. | |

.75 is easy with the right amount of rise Dung Pile .25 is easy Yes, times have changed there. Most of us expect good amps to Street beat @ .5ohms and burp @ .25-.35. A few people have pulled off burps at .175 even. Hell some people have street beated at .35 ohms.

| Strap a pair of 20.1s. I know the rd is 500 watts and does more but the 20s are no joke either. 2- MMATS 3500.05 or 4000.05 work too but not strappable. Doesn't DB drive make a 500 watt amp too? | |

| You are correct. Just like how 2 AQ 2200 aren't legal in 0-1000 anymore. I was looking at 2 Sundown SAZ-2000Ds myself but they are gonna be hard to find since they are discontinued and now Sundown is producing the SAZ-2500D in it's place | |

| thank you for the clarification on that how about saz-3500 Rated power output ----RMS power, 2 ohm linkable/dual mono 7000W x 1CH ----RMS power, 1 ohm mono 3500W x 1CH ----RMS power, 2 ohm mono 1750W x 1CH ----RMS power, 4 ohm mono 750W x 1CH
i know these amps well and run mine daily at .5 still not tryn to ruffle any feathers just making some noise........ There are several SAZ 2000 out there does being discontinued make them illegal for use ?
