| was giving the run down of competitions to a new Team Hillbilly member today.
i showed him super port wars and how the meter gets put in the box.
single DD 8" on 300 watts, with music did a 163! ran sine tones and did 164 @ 37hz ! and this was with the old DD 1008, not the 1508.
the box is just a regular old music box, not intended for SPL anything.
i'm thinking with those results, i'm going to try my hand at a few designs intended for super port wars.

| Its a lot easier to do port than super since the rule says you have to put the mic in the box without removing anything and you can't seal the vent | |

| yep, that's all i did was just drop the sensor into the port. didn't remove anything or plug anything. just dropped it right in.
although i looked up the rules since you mentioned that and i don't see where it says in port or super port that you can't remove anything. where can i find this rule?
i've never really looked too much into exact specifics of the port wars rules, i just know the basics of what they do.
so if what i think i understand is wrong, by all means fill me in on the scoop.
i see for port wars the globe has to fit.
super port it is the raw sensor.

| PORT WARS AND SUPER PORT WARS ARE VERY DIFFERENT IN RULES....PORT YOU CAN TAKE THINGS (SPEAKER ,SEAL) AND PUT THEM BACK ON.....SUPER PORT SAYS YOU HAVE TO HAVE AN OPENING FOR THE METER TO GO IN AND OUT OF AND NO SEALS .....WE RAN INTO THIS AT FINALS AND MATT EXPLAINED THE DIFFERENCE ...... | |
