| USACI 2010 SQ Rules Completed - 02/08/2010 For 2010 USACI has gone back to the drawing board and reinvented the SQ Wheel. The new 2010 rules and SQ score sheet, have been rebuilt from the ground up are now available to view and download on our web site. They can be located at the bottom of the "rules" pages. Let us know what you think! Special thanks to Tim Goudy, John Sketoe, Todd Crowder, and all the rest of our loyal SQ competitors who came together and gave their time to make it happen. | |

| To make sure I understand
If you have cut a hole in the floor to vent a kickpanel to the outside---you are in Super Mod.
Is that correct?
Thank you. | |

| yes...if it is the floor pan...the floor pan definition is in the glossary. If you are vented to the side into the chassis then it is a kick and should be ok...but it is vented down through the floorpan, you are super mod. | |

| And to Ralph, and everyone else...thank you for supporting us. We ALL really want this to be a big positive change in SQ for USACi. We really feel this will be fair and yet more competitive. Offering SPL classes as an option is awesome IMO because if you want to do pressure, you can...and it's full value uncapped. If you don't want to, hey...that's fine too. You don't have to...we have a class for that. The intro class is awesome IMO...no more sand bagging down there. I can't wait to see what shows up in Xtreme SQ+. I know many of you and those of us working on the rules crew have been in contact. Thank all of you guys for your feedback and help as we bounced ideas off of you. | |

| There is one discrepancy between the rule book and the score sheet that I have already sent to Ralph and may already be corrected. The fusing section for Head Unit and Processors was moved out of the wiring section in to the processor section. I sent him an e-mail to update that last night when I discovered it.... | |

What John said... many people won't realize until they read the rules that they had input or their vehicles were discussed when we put pixels to paper.... | |

| All of us on the committee talked to various industry partners as well...I know Todd talked with Gary Biggs (JBL), he and I both talked to Nick Wingate (Focal), and I talked to Scott Buwalda (Hybrid Audio)...these were the three biggest manufacturer SQ Teams in the lanes for the last few years. Definitive Audio Designs obviously had input as well via James and Ultra had representation with John Roberts. There are a few others associated as well via the members on the committee...I don't have them all off the top of my head. (You other guys should chime in for sure here) Remember these manufacturers and how they support you guys in the lanes...whether you run their product or not, they are all supporting your hobby in some sort or fashion. Various competitors that we are all friends with were called and polled...various shop owners as well. The list is almost impossible to compile...but I just want to say thank you! If you got a call from any of the 10-11 people on the 2010 Rules Committee, at any time since November, or if you talked with someone at the USACi office about new rules for 2010 SQ, thank you! | |

| Just had a question from another competitor, and I was not for sure on the answer. In the modified section, it says that no door panel mods are allowed, but is that for the entire door? Reason he asked, has door speakers in factory location, but due to the depth of the speaker and thin doors, had do put a spacer between the door and the speaker. Also has it dressed up with a custom trim ring. Would this be allowed in mod? Thanks for the help. | |
