We NEED a Members Meeting!!!!!

We need a members meeting this year!!!

The last one was in February 2005 and that was the last major change in class formats.

We need to change some things and make classes that make since to shops that are trying to get new customers to compete.

Thoughts?


This needs to happen after the first of the year in a central location... Memphis might be a good spot. (btw that is a 12 hour drive for me)

please voice opionions.

I am up for it. I think this would be a great way to voice our views without getting all keyboard commando on each other.

Ralph mentioned that there were going to be a possibilty of changes, so now a member's meeting is the perfect venue to see where those changes are going to take place. I second the motion set forth by the distinguished gentleman, Rick Sellers.

We could do a webinar, setup. So everyone could just stay at home. And still do a meeting. But yes its been a while.

It has been along time. So long in fact most new guys never knew we used to have them^^. lol

I am new and had heard that at one time they had one.

I agree on a members meeting, however, the head folks at USACi are likely to throw out there that there isn't enough attendance to warrant one...which I find difficult to understand when the last one was announced to a select few individuals only 2 weeks or so before it happened....

I also find it rather interesting that since the disappearance of a members meting that the sport as a whole for USACi SQ has taken quite a tumble.

I for one feel like no matter what is voiced or what is said, it's met with deaf ears and only those who have a shop that host shows or those who wave the money grab the attention of USACi. Call me jaded, call me what you want, it's how I feel.

i have another stupid question. What would we talk about? Would there be an agenda of complaints or would it be just a chance for everyone to meet and greet. Please don't flame me for this question.

It is a valid question, and I think it needs an answer. My understanding is Ralph will let us know what the upcoming rules will be for SQ this season, and then we get to discuss it. It is also a chance to meet and greet too.

I could be wrong about the Ralph thing though. Sketoe, Tim? Thoughts?

I'd like to hear this from Ralph to make sure but...
My understanding is that this would be a real-deal, changes on the floor, and vote on it type of stuff.

Would it or could it be posible to have a list of topics of discussion on the forum. That way a guy could think about what one might say on any one thing or several things before you get to the the meeting. There could be a post for the topics of discussion listed say now. I for one have never been to a meeting so I don't know what to expect. Just trying to help.

The meeting will include rules, shows, policies, and anything that can make USACI better for both the competitors and the retailers.

USACI will take floor votes and keep notes of all open discussion.

Some changes can be done right away and some cannot until next season. Everything will be taken into consideration by USACI but all changes, voted on or not, will be pending review and approval of the board.

We will put hotly debated issues to a member wide vote.

As for the agenda, we are taking ideas from members now. If you have an agenda item please submit it ASAP.
