| I dont know where to start but I know where to end...so lets go for it.
I need to thank Meghan For putting up with me going backto another whirlwind of building and testing, even though I said I wouldnt get this involved this year...I did, I have a bad habit of doing that. You put up with some stressful nights and tight budgets to get back this year.
S.W.A.T Timmay, Billo, Danny, Kevin(s) THE CHAD Phinney and everyone else. You told me it was the class I had been waiting for.....looking back maybe we should have waited and let it cook a little more, I dont think the class is ready yet for what we wanted to show, but we did what we came to do, and thats to dominate the trunk classes. Coming up with amps to fit the class, and answering all my dumb questions about them...Was a good time, and im sure we will be building something else again.
Team Hard Hitters.....Bruce, Ryan, Josh, Sanford You pushed me as well, and helped provide alot of great stuff for me to use to attempt to get my goal this year, I didnt get there, but at least I was there....McCue...Weaksauce!
Team NW.Audio...Jerry, Doug, Dave...Giving me someplace to build and not get the cops called on me! I appreciate it as always and you know you will have me around if you ever need help with anything.
All my close friends who helped out. Dustin, Nikki, Steve, Terry, Cody, Sampsonite, Dan, and anyone else who came to the house or shop to help build or just hang out..I appreciate it, and if you guys need a hand with anything, I look open for the next few years LOL
Now The end........After thinking about it, I had a great amount of fun this year and espicially at finals, but yet again I rolled into finals dissapointed to see no competition of all the people who said they would be there or would be in the class.
I am also extreamly dissapointed with USACI. The amount of rules I watched being broken about made my head spin, being someone who has helped assist in judging shows it was almost a disgrace to me the way things were going down. I can no longer enjoy this as a hobby that I spend money on to see the same issues year after year. In the end, call me....I wanna come build with whoever, whenever. But the fact is "ITS USACI" is the ways its always gonna be, and if you dont like it the big guy will tell you to leave himself.....With that, Im done...I will not build a car for myself anytime soon.
I hope alot of you can tough out the rules problems, but I cant stand the love hate relationship anymore....Im better off being a hasbeen LOL

| dude you guys did a great job on both cars , nice numbers , as for the drama , it happens in all forms of competition , all we can do is voice our opinions and move forward , sometimes we say Dung Pile without thinking and make a bad one , this is just a way to tighten the rules leaving less gray areas . dont quit give ish a chance to try and beat you. he has to take out a battery for 0-1000 or add pwer for 1001+ , so lets just move forward and try to make this a larger org/industry . | |

What did I miss? What was allowed that should not have been? Judging seems to have gone rather smooth compared to past years and I don't recall any big stinks regarding verification or things being allowed that shouldn't have. The only mishap I remember having was corrected before allowing the competitor to run in the lanes. I had fun hanging out with all of you on Saturday night. That is the real reason I came back to finals this year. It was great seeing all of my friends and having a good time.

| Matt, You did an great job with verifing every vehicle that went through the lanes.
The issue I saw was cars being worked on and possibly modified after verification or before the runs in the lanes.
Seen a few cars have thier own volt meters in the car and those were good enough in the lanes for thier run as long as they were visible, who knows where they were hooked up.
I dont think Idle was checked on any cars.
Heck at one point I swore I seen someone get out of a car on the passenger side with the meter in thier hands after a run.
I wasnt gonna be a wistle blower this year, so I sttod back and watched Other people make a fool of themselves by breaking or bending the rules as far as they could.
I had a great time at finals, I had a great time competing, and hanging out with everyone at the show and after party....I think I could have more fun skipping the comp part and just being a has been spectator. LOL
If trunk is around next year I will have my hands in something to be strong in the class.
The civic will be for sale soon im sure.

| For the most part cars were verified by me and then went directly to the lanes. Personally, I thought Don did an excellent job of looking at cars as they rolled into the lanes to doublecheck things and make sure they were legit. He was much more visible in the lanes than in the past. I did not get to watch hardly any of the runs so I cannot vouch for any of the above happening or not.
Things will never be perfect but I think we can all vouch for the fact that this is the first year in about 5 or 6 that all cars were ran very close to the scheduled time on Saturday and things were finished up on time on Sunday. I will help Ralph refine the timeslots next year and try to have names called out from the stage. After the way things went this year I won't mind coming back next year.

That would be great! I could use the help. It wasn't fun directing traffic and verifying cars. I do think we should have two verification judges each year, unfortunately we were short on personnel this season. Verification is a tough spot because no matter what someone comes away thinking you're the bad guy.

Verification is a tough spot because no matter what someone comes away thinking you're the bad guy. Well we can change that, I will be there I will call ralph tomorrow and tell him Im in. I think of you as the drunk guy that helped clear out bathtub of beer, jello shots, and tequila.

| I would hate to see anyone say they are leaving USACi as we are working really hard to make you all happy. Also NOT EVERYONE will ALWAYS be happy no matter what happens with that said I thought 2009 Finals was the most organized smoothest show we have ever had and know we are working to make it better each year.
Congradulations to ALL that attended and won.
Thanks for your support and we will see you in the lanes! |
