| all coils in parallel= 0.25 ohm series/parallel= 1 ohm all coils in series= 4 ohm
This is assuming you are using one amplifier. | |

| Thanks . Just checking my math . I was told that you could not series parallel the coils on the same speaker . | |

| connect coil 1 - to coil 2 + with a jumper, now connect coil 3 - to coil 4 + with another jumper. Now take coil 1 + to the amplifier +, and coil 2 - to amplifier -, coil 3 + to amplifier +, coil 4 - to amplifier -. You have seriesed coils 1 and 2, and seriesed coils 3 and 4. By putting them both into the same + and same - on the amp you are paralleling the two pairs of seriesed coils. Which will reduce the impedence to 1 ohm at the amp. | |

| Matt is correct. I am using Mojo Q1 15" right now, at 1/4 ohm, but I have to sets of leads. I did the opposite as him though. I paralleled 2 VC's and then paralleled the other 2, giving me 2 sets of leads running 1/2 ohm outside the enclosure. I can then switch back and forth between 1/4 & 1 ohm by switching the amp from series to parallel. | |
