Deck opinions

IM gonna buy a new single din deck for my 97 bmw and i need some suggestions. im upgrading from an alpine. i want a pop out touch screen. i was looking at alpine and pioneer. they each sell one for about a grand. i dont have any real problems with any brands as long as it will play my ipods music + movies

there are lots that play ipods music but the biggest is alpine an pioneer, i think the pioneer one even lplays the vids an movies i am looking to get myself one someday need those for those long trips

Yeah the pioneer one seems to be the one everyone tells me to get but i love alpine gear. the pioneer one is like 650 and comes with a backup camera.... but it only puts out 18 watts rms so im gonna need to get a nice 4 channel...the site says ipod movies only work when the car is in park but im sure that can be bypassed.

ya all u do is not hook up the emergency break wire to the deck and it will play all the time the only thing i dont like that the pioneer will not do is charge the i pod maybe some of the higher grade one mit but my 5900 did not

my ib590 doesn't either i was told by gabe that it does but i don't. wait my iphone it don't charge my iphone now my nano it charges it but my iphone it don't. i am looking to gettin me one of those double din's decks not the flip out, but man if you like alpine go with alpine bro cause in the end your the one who has to be happy with it not us. alpine makes great decks from what i hear but i grew up on pioneer an they never let me down so why change now rite? lol if alpine has never let you down then go with what you know.

Pioneer don't have any flipup in their new catalog..

no i know they don't but they do still sell them online an in stores though.

Had a few Pioneer flip that came back with ribbon cable problem..

ok so i go with the alpine! but god its gonna be expensive to get the backup camera bluetooth ipod and nav.... FML

do some research on the kenwoods
