| I've done the same with my atomic 1500.1's a couple years back and had no problems. Of course you are putting the amp at risk doing that. So-- yes it could cause problems. | |

| This is just a pic from the Ecoustics forum...a guy there was blowing fuses in his rd1750 burping at 1/4ohm dcr. He was looking for ATC fuses bigger than 40a, I jokingly suggested 14ga jumpers and male-spades...he took it serious.
I told him be careful, but I'm pretty sure he will see the magic smoke soon.

| ha ha, thats crazy. not quite as bad as the alligater clip grounds that i, surprisingly, have seen. ive also seen a guy run 22 awg speaker wire for power and ground from his deck, over the seat, and direct to his T3002 rockford amp. he came in wondering why his amp wasn't "bumpin" | |

| so instead of understanding the amps is reaching its limits by blowing the fuses this guy wants to blow the amp lol.
I mean this is why they have fuses. Its easier and cheaper to buy a bigger amp than a new ride

Ive seen the same thing but from the battery. Through the door jam draped over the seats. Who breeds these people?

| There is a shop down here that did that all the time and bragged about it. Should I say there WAS a shop that did it.
After about 5 cars burning up, he closed up. |
