I just got an '88 civic hatchback (just like a crx) and am looking for the biggest alt I can get. The only one I have found so far is a 200 amp from iraggi. Anybody have any other suggestions?

I had a 250 amp ext. reg on mine from Stinger. It sucked. it would put out the power, but could not handle higher rpms.

Belt slip is going to be an issue if you plan on getting anything more than 200amps because CRXs have 4 rib belts that have no grip. If you ask Mechman nicely he will make you a large case 300 amp alt with custom dual pulleys. They need some grinding for clearance.
