Im doing a wall in my daily driver shortly and am looking for some rough ideas of what to go with. Please post any pics of walled extended cab trucks or preferrably crewcab (4 door) trucks. Even better would be a walled superduty to use as reference.
Im on a major major budget but already have all my gear. Unfortuately reconing woofers to different size wont fit the budget. Soo...for my build Im stuck with these options
Truck is a 2002 f350 crewcab. It has a split bench in the front with a fold-down center console that makes the center seat with the console upright.
2 RE HC 18s. old school REs. Replaced by the MT. 1200 rms and 3" coil but the coil cooling on them isnt up to par with my DDs or solo Xs.
or
4 DD 9912s D motors.
or
6 Kicker Solo X 10s
Power will be 2 American Bass 500.1s on a 12 volt system of 4 mismatched batteries. 2 stock AC delco wet cells under the hood (pretty big batts tho) the a d34 bluetop and a 2150 to finish it up.
Initial measurements with my sides, top, bottom all being 2 layers thick and my rear wall and baffle being 3 layers thick give me 29.1 cubic feet of volume to workwith which will be plenty.
The goals of the setup will be to play music loudly but would also like it to burp a decent score of course. No matter what woofer setup I use I know ill have it bassracing 150+ and streetbeating the same.
Im at the moment favouring the solo Xs in either a center port design or a bandpass. Most likely with drivers SPL style port.
Would like to hear any of your guys suggestions.
Thanks
