| Is it better to ground the amps to the batteries or to the frame ? I have had different suggestions and want to know the best way. | |

| As long as the frame is properly grounded to the batt you can save the trouble and money for wire and ground it to the frame. The energy travels to the amp through the positive and stops at the ground. You do not loose any power from grounding to a properly grounded frame or body. | |

| It just depends how your setup is????????If batts are in back or by the amps then ground to batts because they should already should be grounded to front batts????? | |

| It is best to ground the amps to the batteries then the batteries to the frame. The frame only connects the grounds of the alternator/front battery to the rear batteries. If you did not have an alternator or battery in the front you would just want all the grounds connected on the batteries and then the amps connected to the batteries direct there would be no need for chassis grounding. | |

| Bobby,
Do both of your alts charge the same voltage or is one higher voltage for the system? Give me a little more info about your setup and I'll try to figure out the best efficient way to do it for you. | |
