| I can match some of your questions. I run a Mech man alt on the 89 Crx. It's a large case GM 300 amp with custom tension bracket. I run the alt at 17.7 volts to charge 5 Power Master 16v batteries. For daily driving I run a Concept CD 3910 on two True Bass 8"s. It does 147 outlaw 143.4 at the headrest. During competition I run an AB vfl 150.1 on 8 True Bass 10". Voltage drop is minimal 16.8 - 16.9 (156db). Or I run three CD 3910 on 9 True Bass 10". Voltage drop is in the 15.8 - 16.0 range.(154+at the head rest) I believe several companies offer adj. voltage alt. Ohio, Iraggi, Power Master, Mech man in conjunction with Power Master. The problem for daily drivers, it is hard to get power at idle and high rpm. Mech man I think has it fiqured out.(with help from Power Master). 160 amp at idle and 250 at high rpm. | |
