need 1.3db... can i do it????

after setting up the termlab for the first time in forever i finally metered my current setup and go a 148.7 in the kick with 2 XXX 15s sealed forward firing off of a sundown 3000d with the trunk open and passenger side closed drivers door opened

so its a bit of a stretch but once i seal off the trunk and get the amp to run off the 16v post of my kinetiks do you think id be able to hit 150? Im not sure if the subs will even be able to handle the extra power because they were moving pretty crazy... not quiet maxed but better safe then sorry. I'm actually pretty happy with 148 but 150 would be nice.

easily... try a different box.. what do you have this set up in??

I'm sure those subs can handle more power and try firing towards the rear.

a cobalt... not really enough room for a ported box for 15s

you can do it.. i got that with two twelves in a protege.. you can do it in a cobalt.

yes, you can do it, maybe not a good box for daily but build this, 16x32x14 subs firing up, 2 4" aero ports, now when you do the areo ports only cut the hole big enough for the tubes, start with about half the port internal, half external with the port firing to the drivers side, try all ways but i think this may be best.

after you find out how it like it take about an inch off the ports at a time and adjust in and out, repeat, repeat, repeat, till you happy

damn thats pretty much the exact measurements of the cobalt trunk opening.... what do you think of the ports firing back thou? that's about the size of my current box if i remember correctly and theres only 2in or so on the sides before it hits the metal on the bottom. Top has a lil extra leway but the port might hit the subs

Open your trunk all the way and see if thatll gain ya usually works everytime

try the box chad told ya about......but id try just one fifteen in a slightly smaller box than that and depending on what woofers use 2 4 inch aeros or 2 6 inch aeros....subs up ports to the driver side

I have a 03 cavi and they are the same car...Try scooting both seats up as far as they go.I know you will be crammed into the dash! Lean to the passenger side as you are.I actually gained a db doing this,I think it bounces of you and deflects to the meter that way i dk. Since you have a meter try everything!
