| I am looking for a new competition woofer that can handle 3000-4000 watt burps. Want to keep it a single woofer. What something that can replace my 2 L7 15's. | |

| i have alot of 15s that will do what your wanting. RE MTS, RD AUDIO HEAVYWEIGHTS, DB DRIVE WDS. what you use is your decision. ive had alot of success with the mts and wds. the rd seems like a good woofer as well, i just dont have alot of test time with them. the pro stock guys live by them it seems though. | |

| WELL ILL PUT IT THIS WAY ON MY EXPERIENCE BETWEEN THE RD, AND THE 9515'S
I WAS COMPETING IN 1801-3K LAST YEAR AND AT THE BEGGINING I HAD 3 IA 40.1'S AND 3 9515'S. I WAS RUNNING DUAL 1'S ON THE 9515'S PER 40.1 WICH COMES CLOSE TO 7K PER SUB, AND WELL I KEPT PUSHING THE COIL OUT OF THE GAP, TWISTING IT, AND IT WOULD REST AT MAX EXCURSION ONTOP OF THE POLE PEICE. SO I WAS WATCHING THE RD H.W. THREAD BY MR KOLLER, AND DECIDED TO GIVE THEM A GO, AND T MY SURPRISE AT DROP IN NOT ONLY WERE THEY HANDELING THE POWER THEY WER ABOUT 1.2DB LOUDER. NOW I RUN A TON OF PORT, AND I MEAN A TON, BUT IT IS WHAT IT MAN, AND THE RD H.W. IS THE SHIIIIIT

| Get whatever you can get the best deal on man. I love my 9515's but every situation is different for different people. All subs listed can and will get loud. It all has to do with box and port design that determines how much power the sub can really handle. | |

| If its only for a 3sec burp I wouldn't spend the extra money on a HW.
Might as well go with the Alpha or Elite , I'm sure they'll both take that for a burp.
Now if you mean burp and play daily yes, get somethin like the HW.
Heck, I've seen a Type R 15 take 2 Hifonics 2601s at .5 ohm and do a 50 legal car off 1 battery.

| For the RD H.W., would the 18" model replace my L7's or should I stick with 2 15's for the cone area. I would like to have a single woofer if I could because next season I'm hoping to have 4 zx1500.1's on a single woofer. And also I read that the H.W.'s can have a quad 1 coil opition or even a quad 0.7 coil. Not for sure. | |

| a hw will eat 4 zx 1500's for breakfast lol for thats not really alot of power so you should be fine now I have ran l7 15's in the past and they are not spl based subs at all and i think a single 15" rd h.w. would be a good replacement. Going bigger to an 18 is not the right direction it just doesnt work that way. | |

| Just curious, how come it doesn't work that way. The 18 has more cone area than a 15. | |

| 1 18 will not be louder than 2 15's just cause the 18 is bigger it is not better
bottom line is the kicker 15's are not spl drivers they are actually better for sq.

| Memphis what what?? yea...ummm...whateva. I would say RD Heavyweights also. if my 15 L7s ever quit on me, that's what i'm going with. www.caraudio.com has an extensive classifieds section. I would suggest looking there. I'm sure most guys on this site would agree with me. | |
