| My battery light and the e-brake light comes on and other times its not. i know that those lights mean the alternator is not charging but i cant figure out why it would be working and then stop every once in a while. sometimes ill be driving with the lights on and then they just go off and i get full power back to the vehicle. the truck is a 2004 nissan xterra. any help will be great | |

| You also might want to check any sensors that could be realated to your charding system. Sometimes moisture and dirt and stuff can mess with them. Don't know if this will help but worth a shot | |

It was a bad battery in the back

| if you think there is an alternator issue, see if you have a local alternator shop you can pull it off and take it to them. my first thought would be with what charles said. but to make sure there is no issue with the alternator, take it off and let them take it down and check it out. could be an intermittent problem there. a good alternator shop could fix it. also what battery do you have | |

| Hmm I heard meangreen were good alts. Well I'd check all the connections and also see if your belt is tight enough. I would talk to meangreen about it; the problem could be as little as a smaller pulley maybe its just not charging much at those certain rpms. | |
