| How are they when doing a simple kickpanel install in? Thinking of buying one and doing something with an IDMAX sub and a CX 64 component set powered from either a JL HD 5 channel or the new Soundstream 6 channel stealth amp. I just want to do something with pretty good response and imaging the head unit will be a Sony ES c90 with the sony xdp-4000x processor. I want to keep the back light (single sub) to pull out the amp rack and the sub to replace it with an spl box and a couple of surfboards. From past experiences does the CRX have any quarks with the center console IF I build kickpanels? Only CRX I remember listening too had compression horns and I am not so sure am wanting to go that route again. | |

| That is a fun car to put a system in. I had one many many years ago and I dont remeber any issues with the center consule. I built kicks in mine and it was great. | |

| Only crx I remember was Jerry Z's old ID CRX with horns and pioneer odr stuff in it. I love horns but i really like the simplicity of a coax mounted component set. All I plan on doing is making a false floor fiberglasing a sub enclosure to it and building an amp rack for a small sized amp. kinetik 2400 that is not part of the false floor on the back passenger side. that way I can pull out the SQ portion of my set up and throw in a fart box if I want too.

| I have built several of them.... the best option is a % inch mid and tweet coasial mounted and point the speakers sraightat the radio.... this will be a great starting point.... then add a nice midbass up under the dash on the passenger side. and a good sub in the back and your done... alot easier than some cars oput there... | |
