| i don't have a TL to know but does anyone know for sure.... i rebuilt my box ported... subs up and ports back... the ports are out of the box.... now my question... the subs are firing into the box... is it louder with them firing into the box or if they were in the box? | |

are you asking if it is louder with the ports out or in. If so, generally you gain with them external but not always. Where in Iowa are you? | |

| Think he is talking about subs being inverted. If you calced in the the volume the subs take up in the box, I would mount them normal. Otherwise you change the volume and tuneing by inverting them. | |

Yeah more drag then usac. I don't really have the amp for usaci so I get my arss handed to me everytime I try it...lol How are you liking it up there in Ames? | |

It depends on how much your ports are adding to your overall sound. a lot of these boxes have such small port area, that they are not adding much. When we were testing our 10" tube we found that the port was louder than the sub. By inverting the sub we gained .3db overall. In other words if your port area is less than 30% of you sub area, you're not going to gain by turning your sub around. | |
