| It looks like a lot of people are going with the Alpine PXA 701. If you are using a fibre optic cable that would be the best thing for your money...especially given the flexibility of the unit | |

| if you can get a 701 sans noise..get it and do it. Great bang for the buck. The new Audison BitOne is a nice cheaper one as well. The sky is the limit with processors really. I run a Rane Pro-Audio unit. | |

| Really, dbx and Rane are both very convertible and a step above anything 12v in my opinion. There are many other nice pro-audio processors...in particular, I really like the Shure 4800...software look archaic but sounds great. Convertible...well...not easily, but yes it's doable. Jury is out IMO on Behringer, we've got a car on our team doing Behringer the right way...I'll be curious to check it out. In pro-audio, behringer is like a kenwood of car audio. It's good stuff...just has it's flaws and quirks. I do pro-audio frequently. | |

| Ok my curiosity is peaked now. How do you control this pro audio gear in a 12v enviorment? only through computer? Do you have on the fly control such as sub level for those times you want to crank it? How duriable is it in a car setting? How large are these units? | |
