| Well some of those guys have valid points Jeff. Others don't. Regardless, as you said, its consistent, and you've obviously done well in the lanes. Your peak current and peak voltages do occur at different instants of time and your numbers will be exaggerated by taking the peak of each, but if it works for you, makes you happy, then go for it. |

| Ok so thats why 4600 out of M3. What ohm load was M3 at?? .22 before rise?? I was only getting around 2200 from my M3's wired to .25 rising to 1.3. Wish I could get 4600 lol |

| WE NOTICED WHEN DARREN WON 0-600 STOCK THAT YEAR HE HAD SOME ISSUES WITH HIS LOSING POWER/GETTING WEAK AFTER IT WOULD HEAT UP AND PROTECT BECUASE OF HEAT.
WE WERE TOLD THE AMP WAS GOOD BUT A NOTICABLE DIFFERANCE FROM HIS AFTER THAT TO ONE OF BRUCES. |

| That may be the way you test your amplifiers and it may work for you. But its not the correct way to do it. You cannot peak hold everything you do. Its basic electrical theory and knowledge. If you want to argue electrical theory with you can go ahead, but it would be a waste of time. Everyone has there way along with yourself and thats cool, but its not the correct way to get a accurate reading. |

| bah hahahaha, Your bout a duck. Anywhere you go you will get the same answer. Your way is not the "correct way" its "Jeff's Way".
Take your own wisdom..."o what makes it correct and not correct because you say its not the way you do it right" So everyone is wrong are is everyone correct? |

| i never said it will eild higher readings I am asking what makes it a wrng way of doing it because its what other people use.
Ill tell you like this Estes is a loud mofo, and also a tough competitor that has done both usaci and drag and has many records in both along with titles as well. I watched this guy test like this, and thats where i picked it up at.
you can say its wrong, but what you cant do is deny the fact that its still a way to determine if an amp is stronger or not than another one tested the same way. |

| Sorry guys,
I was using zacs computer, SO please ingore the last post or at least address comments to me.
I don't think it is necessarily wrong either. And it is a very easy way to get a comparative reading.
Wrong would depend on what you are actually trying to measure. This way gives you a great relative number as long as you use the same technique on all the amps you test.

| wow Lonny that was nice man, and appreaciated.
It is really hard to operate the deck, hold seats up, read 2 meters for actually straigh up readings all by yourself this is exactly why I use peak hold. |

Just as the rules of usaci state how you have to meter your vehicle, the rules of electrcity state how to acheive ACTUAL power. You're not going to meter your truck in the port for your outlaw score are you? So why do you think you should meter on peak hold to determine your RMS wattage?
Sure, as long as you test the same way every time, your comparisons are fine, BUT your wattage figures are incorrect.
That's what I've been trying to say all along.
The bottom line is that the number on the TL is the one you are most concerned about anyways. But throwing around jacked up wattage numbers is just lame.

Me, Robert, Jimbo use to have some seriouse issues in the past, and we couldnt understand why now were good cause all 3 of us know it doesnt matter what is said actions are what matters, and we are all 3 good at what we do. |

Forgot to mention I was getting 2200 a amp after 5 sec not the intial reading. Maybe thats why "only" 2200. Either way the TL is all that matters not how much power the amp puts out. Also I was @ 1.3 after rise not .6 or .8 or whatever. |
