| it may but that usually helps if you have a whineing noise or something like that but it could be just those damn beasts you got in there. | |

| You might have your amp(s) or line driver gains too high to/from your HU. Zero everything out and start with the least gains on LD and amps as possible while listening for the rumble to come back.
Having the line driver and HU connected to the same ground as the amps if it is not a 16volt setup might help.

| Heres a pic I made for a kid who was having trouble with a common problem with a Pioneer hu. I had to do this to my Clarion tv too in the truck haha. The humm/rumble goes away instantly. Usually the reason you have the rumble is because the RCA's touched a positive wire in the back or somethin while plugged in up front at the HU. This burns the ground trace out inside the HU, either you can take it apart and resolder it or just do this. | |

| John not a 16 volt system but all are grounded at different points,radio-battery/chassis, line driver-scraped metal in bed of truck, amps-0 gauge frame grounds. So basically it could be too much input voltage to amps? | |

| Correct!
Try adjusting gains first, if that doesn't work try grounding to the amp ground or Zac's idea.

| if Zach's suggestion doesn't help , gains on the amp are too high . increase the gain from the stereo like the sub output level , then turn the gain farther down on the amp . | |
