| So I've been hanging around the forums for about two months now just reading and soaking everything in. Last competition I competed in was probably about seven years ago and I got the itch to do it again. So what I've decided to do is compete in the SB3. I have a couple of questions, hopefully you guys don't mind answering. Mic placement, can it pretty much be any where in the front area of the car or is there a specific place where it shoudl be placed. Box size, does it have to be a certain size. Can it not go past certain areas of the car height wise and length wise. While I work on a setup fro my wife's 2 door Explorer sport, I'm gonna test the water on my expedition. I currnently have three 12" Alpine Type R in a sealed box with 2500 watts pusing them. Any thoughts on this setup. And last question, this has been bugging me since the finals show. I saw a couple of guys that had a normal setup but then they had separate smaller box with an inverted sub sitting on top of the bigger box. What's the purpose of that sub. Hopefully I'm not asking too much. Thanks | |

| “Usually” they will put the mic on the wind shield. But they may do it in the kick, well they did in a show I went to. The box can not go past the B-Pillar, but can be any size or shape. But you can only have a certain number of a certain size woofer. 1 18”, 2 15”s, 4 12”s, 8 10”s I think it is. And I’ve never seen the one inverted sub thing, or never cared enough to think about it….. O.o Did I miss anything? | |

| This and many other questions could easily be found in the rules section of the Usaci web site. Not trying to be a dick, but if you are looking for the basic rules and such it is easier to go to the site and then you know all the rules for all classes. | |
