| so what is up with the outlaw world records if stuff is goin to change? what bout us that paid for this and worked for them and they are up for 6 months and then done...i dont think that is right. i think we that have them should get a free chance at finals to reset them at the rules that are set ..what ya think ralph? | |

| aphinney I dont mean any disrespect with this comment but what about the situation of you set the record today someone breaks it at the next show then dont you have to pay to try to break it again? dont get me wrong I think it would be a great idea anything free is awsome. | |

| Bullsh!t. You paid, you got a plaque, and you can say your a world record holder. People who've been competing for years have seen rules come and go, some of those are multiple world record holders....once they break a record they can say forever more they a wr holder. Look at Bob Perillo, I think his sig says somethin like "18xWorld Record holder" haha. Look at it this way, when rules change it gives you an opportunity to break another record adding to your credentials. And you've got another plaque for the wall | |

| I have said it before and will say it again anyone can break a record, but to be a champion it takes more some of yall might not like what I just said, but its tru there are many world record holders that have never been a champion. | |

| Changing the rules in the same competition season is a bit much tho Zac. I know what you are saying but come on now...there have been several "records" set just this year so will they remain and need to be beaten under the new rule, or will they be cleared and have to be set again? If that is what they are going to do I only think it's fair for those that very recently ( this season) spent the cash to run for a record, get a chance to set it with the new change without additional cost. If they continue to constantly wipe the slate clean every 6 months then what is the point of attaining a record? We need some consistency and make a world record worth something more than a cheap plaque on the wall. It's about setting the bar for someone else to shoot for not a piece of wood and metal. | |

| I agree with the free run part most definitely.
If rules change within a competition season-those who've have paid for a WR attempt that season get a free re-run with the new rule/rules.
Good point. | |
