Do balanced inputs really make that much of a difference? Im still pretty confused with the whole idea of balanced/unbalanced inputs and all (whats the difference?)

balanced line rejects noise...there are three conductors in the cable...+, -, shield. (XLRs, euroblock, symbilink...etc) unbalanced...two conductors. (RCAs)

well yes and no...some amps do have a balanced input section but by the true terminology of the word I personally would want a CAT5 or Euroblock or XLR on the amp to call it balanced.
