| I know this might be pointless but i wanted to know if anybody has ever won a worldchampionship off of 8 in woofers or seen any sign of life that this small of a woofer might get the job done . | |

| I know that some superports have been won with 8" subs. I have one that will do a 180. I think Matt SIbley did a 182.1 with an 8". | |

| well dont seem to be alot of port either man, and to ive some helpfull advice you might wanna build 3-4 box's with differant port sizes to see wich is louder.
a great competitor builds 20-30 box's a year.
what im saying is ure subs dont have enough breathing room man alor of pressure will be retained inside that bos due to the amount of subs you are running.
hope this helps you, but try that one first and see how it does

| yaeh i know about the boxes. i've got a whole room full of boxes. i figure after about 4 or 5 boxes in the rex i will know if it works or not. if not no big deal go back to either 10's or 12's. i just had the wild idea to try 8's no real reason just i hadn't heard of anyone doing it in a rex. | |

| i haven't put the meter on my 8's yet. i am still cleaning up the fire ext powder mess from when i had the ma amp on fire. here is the link to the post of the amp after flames https://usaci.forumotion.com/get-loud-f5/help-keep-burning-up-amps-t3682.htmi got the back end cleaned up and got the subs and amps in and poped it a few times just to get a taste, but i am not going to meter it till i clean the rest of it out and get my remote gains wired in. i have 2 dd m3's, one m3 per 4 ma audio xe 8's 1/2 ohm. might get intresting. | |

| well the m3's were too much for the ma 8's. the subs are not blown yet but if i keep trying it won't take too much longer. i am going to sell these and if i try 8's again i will try the xl 8's or possiblly db, or dd's.
until i get these sold i am going to try my 9918 in the same box i have the 8's in.
