Kind of a newb to the SPL game, I've got a 2000 Eclipse with 2 Memphis PR12's and the Memphis PR1000.1 and I'm looking to put something in my Talon now. I'm going to throw in one Kicker 15" L7, and I would like to know if anyone has had any experience with a setup like this, It is not going to be an all-out SPL vehicle or whatever, I would like a decent amount of bass and I know this sub is perfectly suited for what I want. So if anyone has any ideas as far as a box for it. Sealed? Ported? I was planning on having the sub firing up at the hatch...Let me know what you guys think! Sorry for the long post!

Yeah I still need an amp for it, I was thinking something in the area of 1000 watts...

i have two crossfire xp1000Ds or two kicker zx1000s that im selling if your interested. the crossfire is 1000rms at 1 ohm and the kicker is 1000 at 2 ohms

$200 for the crossfire and $250 for the kicker

I think if you are planning on building any custom enclosure, I would re-consider the 15" L7. Once you make a square custom enclosure, you are kinda locked into a square sub. Your choices are kinda limited there. No?

I just never bought into the whole craze of the square sub to be honest. Don't get me wrong.......I've always loved kicker

Your tastes WILL change & you WILL blow 15's. (if your lucky)

If you are set on Kicker......Go w/ the CVX & the 2 aforementioned kicker zx1000. One on each VC

modx that is an amazing deal on that kicker amp...I need to see how my financial situation sits after next week as I plan on ordering a new bumper for the Talon, I may or may not have enough for that amp but that would definately be what I am looking for.

tcs, the only reason I'm so set on this Kicker is because I recently put a 10" L7 into my girlfriends car and fell in love with how it sounded with only 200w to it. I was debating getting a single CVX because I was in the same boat you were with not into the square sub craze...(I used to work for a Memphis dealer) but I know that the S15L7 is what I want.
