| it really depends on what size he gets i think, cause i know that is how pioneer designeds theirs. the 12 is for full size trucks and the 10 is for mid size trucks but u can put which ever u want in whatever truck as long as your building your own box for it. but i don't think it will be a waste of his money cause i heard these lil boys are suppose to pound yea i know i am giving props to kicker "what" lol i thik i may have a little fever

| if all you listen too is rock then the CVT is an excellent choice! But if you listen to rap or any music that has low end extention I would recommend going with the Pioneer shallows. Our 12" woofer has a mounting depth of only 3 1/4 inches and the 10" is only 3 inches. It is the air suspension technology found in our woofers that gives you those true lows you won't get with a sqished convensional woofer. But out of all the other woofers we have tested the kicker was the next best one ... but they all still lacked the lows.
The CVT also comes with a metal plate that you can use to cut a hole in the back of the box and cover with that plate to allow for more of a shallow enclosure. That is not needed with the Pioneer's but is there for use with the kicker. | |
