| A good friend (also my mechanic) just called me asking about how to fix a surround that is separating on the cone side all the way around on a polk audio sub. What do you guys use to fix this? I said CA glue, but we are unsure if it will eat through the rubber surround. Our other thought was silicone on the back side of the cone. Any help would be appreciated. | |

| Silicone works well too. A new sub works even better | |

| is it separating or rotting? there are websites that sell surround kits. CA will re-glue the surround if it is only coming off the basket. | |

| From what he says it's separating from the cone side. He got the pair and a box for $50, so he just wants a quick fix. Yes, new subs would fix it, but great deal on the package so he isn't in the market for new subs. Thanks to everyone for the help, I will let him know about these ideas. | |

| the surround kits are ONLY the surrounds and aren't really re-cone kits. If the surround is separating from the cone, that should be a CA deal. CA is sold at Hobby Lobby for sure. I've found it only at hobby lobby, not lowe's, HD, or other craft stores. G/L. | |

| Yeah, we use CA here regularly, just wasn't sure if it would eat through the rubber or not. Thanks again for the tips. | |
