| sup guys have a quick question. i have 2 hifonics 2006 both or wired to one ohm on 2 power hx2 10's. i was wanting to run both amps not strapped but one amp each sub and am wanting to use the bass knob. i have the amp in master and slave mode and running one remote. now when i have the remote turned down one sub is playing harder than the other and when i turn it up they both play the same. keep in mind i have the gain on one amp higher than the other an that one that is higher is the one that is playing harder. now my question is , is my setup okay or do i have to buy a y split cable to run to both amps to keep the confusion down? thanks guys

| yeah match the gain but also i think i uderstood you correctly to wanting to use the bass knob like at the drivers seat, if thats what you meant you can take a phone line splitter and run both amps in and then run one line to your knob and it will control both at same time with the one knob. | |

| ^^^^^^^i like that idea and was going to try it but on these new hifonics amps they use bigger ends than the regular phone one that some others use. its more like a intranet line but that is a good idea on my last amp that would have worked great. thanks guys

| I'd double check the wiring on any cables you buy for it. Make sure the wires are lined up exactly the same way at both ends of the cable before you hook them up. My Rockford EPX2 has a cable something like your talking about and I thought it was a phone cable, but it's not and it cost me $200 to fix the damage caused by the wrong cable. Some cables are what they call "flipped", and some aren't. A flipped cable reverses the order of the wires between the two connectors, just make sure the cable you have now and the one you buy are exactly the same. | |
