| changed out stock 55 amp alt for bigger still wont exeed 12.5 wtf how many amps do i need to keep 14.4 | |

| i got a 120 amp and 2 batts and and my voltage NEVER drops below 13.8 but it usually stays around 14.3-14.8 | |

| i have 2 kinetik 2400s and a 100 amp dont know if the alt is regulated at 12.5 or what but it just stays at 12.5 | |

| what kinda car???? i know if you have a rex theres a wire you need to put a switch on...to get it to go over 12.5-12.7..........otherwise its prolly in the ECU | |

| upgraded wires alt is internal regulated 1 wire chevy | |

| those old school chevy alts must be regulated low is all i can think of ill have to go afteer market | |

| Mine used to do that when i had a bad ground for back batts, switched it to diff one and it went from 12.6ish with car on to 14.2 | |

| Make sure the alternator is spinning quick enough.
Most likely the alt is not "turning on" at idle, thus the car is running off the batteries. Try revving the engine and seeing if the voltage goes up. |

| figured it out one of the bats hade a short starting to get tired of these kinetiks night switch to somthing else | |
