Mini SPL

Does anyone have any pictures of "vehicles" who competed in Mini SPL? I'm thinking about starting a father-son project with my sons and I'd like to get some ideas.

I've yet to read the complete rules on this event, but would speakers mounted in the hood be allowed, to ya'll knowledge? I've got an idea or two that I'd like to implement while getting my sons involved in the sport. They are very interested in "helping" me and I just thought this would be a great idea.

That was my buddy's daughter's car for World Finals last year. 2nd Place MSA1.

whatever you do, make sure your SON enjoys it and make sure he can still drive it and have fun. worst thing in the world is to build something for your kid then get it to the show and dont even let him enjoy it(which happens with almost all minis). in 6years of building my sons minis, hes the ONLY 1 ive ever seen just cruising it around beating the system and playing ps. best part is sitting in the lanes with all the other kids piling around his cause they can actually touch his while their parents stand guard on theirs so they dont screw it up,lol.

AND he pimps the ladies in it. LOL!! I LOVED seeing Big ridin around in his mini, I think I had just as much fun watching him.

I remember at 06 Finals he drove that mini all over the arena bumping it!!!

speaking with Mr Harris many times about Dspa he has long informed me that the current Tl system can only measure up to 183db and be correct anything after that will require new software and or sensor.

actually it will read well over 183db. we showed it to wayne at finals in 05 or 06, dont remember. superport 187.9 or something like that. it ended up being a bad cable, but it was done 5 times in a row.

hey rick, why build something she cant drive around and listen to? doesnt that seem more like you built it for you than her? just my opinion.

She drives it around, she just don't listen to it. She drives it around our yard all the time

Dats cause Rick can't build systems that play music

not passing judgement or anything, just curious, why put a system on a powerwheels if you cant listen to it. if just to compete, build a real vehicle, dont hide in the kiddies world,lol.

He had a truck and system, and if he had kept it, it would look a hell of a lot better then it does now

Dude, you know that I had a truck.........was doing a 160.8 in it, I reached my goal of a 160 in it, sold the truck, last I saw it, it looked like this:

Come now, you didn't have to post up a pic of what it ended up like.

I think I might have some of that paint somewhere in the garage
