I just helped a friend purchase a new mobile dvd touchscreen player and told her I would install it. I have never hooked one of these types of units up before. I know how to do everything but the brake controller wire. How do I hook this up so that it will play DVD's while the vehicle is in motion? The vehicle is a 2006 ford escape. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

K it's an XOVision. The manual doesn't say anything about it. So should I just trial test it?

I would just ground the wire see if it works... If it doesn't then put a toggle switch on it like John said. Then you take the toggle and switch it to ground side for 5 sec or so then toggle other way then try different combinations from there eventually you will get it.... But more than likely an xovision is just ground the brake wire.(on the unit )

FYI ... bypassing a safety device such as that is illegal in a lot of states now regardless if a waiver has been signed.
