looking for a Alternator Company

Subject: looking for a Alternator Company Sun Jan 13, 2008 12:22 am

i have been in search of a Alternator that will put out more amps. its going on a 1997 mitsubishi eclipse 2.0 turbo motor, i cannot find a company that offers them or even a company to make one, i have tried taking them to the shops around here but none want to do it, i have contacted powermaster and they told me they wouldnt build one for it either. im not having problems out of it but i am adding more and more and would like to find a company that could build me one if i do end up needing one. if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know

I would possibly double chekc with scottie and see if he cant make something happen for you, unless of course that is who you were dealing with originally.

HO is the only alternator company that is a current memebr of USACI. Have you tried them?

I would recommend Powermaster also, but you said they don't have one.

For an import i'd suggest OhioGen or HO alts. I've had too much problems with EA in the past with my sentra. Maybe you should make brackets and use a large case alt if your serious, theres only so much crap you can fit in those lil import alts.

Did you get your alternator taken care of? There are 200 amp alts out there for your car.
