Joint Finals a success. USACI numbers down due to very remote (from USACI) location but better than expected. Results posted on web site.

Been bumping around a little on the site trying to figure out:

1) if my buddy and I want to enter into this crazy world of car audio.

2) How to get into this world? What class to get in, where to register, how to compete, etc.

3) Being in the KC area - wanting know how scoring goes - how finals are evaluated and is there only one show in the KC area - in August?

4) The KC event is an "Import Face Off" with type FE + CS. What exaclty does that mean?

I skimmed through the rules and seems pretty straight forward, except for the above questions. Any clarification or pointing in the right direction to find the answers would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Welcome aboard! FE means that it will be a show sanctioned for all classes SPL and SQ alike.

The +CS means there will also be a car show at that event. Trophies for everyone Very Happy

A show with only SPL sanctioning will of course show "SPL"

The guys at Loud and Clear can most certainly steer you in the right direction. They can help you understand the rules and what class(s) you should enter to be a successful competitor.

Whatever you do man, just get out there and have fun! This is one of the most fun things you will ever do if you're into car audio. You will meet some great people in this sport.

1. why the heck wouldnt you?!?!?! lol
2. check the schedule it will be updated periodically, shows you may want to know about theres like 6 or so in Omaha Ne, A bunch in KC, Topeka and others. As far as a class just pick one you think you can best afford and do well with the equipment you have, dont get discouraged right away ask people who seem to know what their doing for pointers most are nice enough to help, took alot of us time to get where we are today. and how to compete? Have fun......mic goes in the kick panelcar running doors open so on........
3. Scoring is dependant on the class SQ....i have no idea.....Street Beat is music averaged over 30 seconds, recorded in DB's. And Spl highest DB, people play about a 3 second blast at various frequencies

basically it.....LnC can help you out more....since they are in your neck of the woods

Good Luck
