Yes it was worth it. I got a head start on all the new product coming out. I met Charles at the Kicker party. Love the new solo L7. 150 in. TV. and lots more. Right now I am having fun.

ya... i thought the lil sound booth they had was funny thou. and we almost missed it since it wasnt in the main hall but i really like the entire booth.

Yes but not complete. Alpine has Headunit, amp, speakers, subs etc

My contacts said CES was not all that this year. Many weren't in attendance or had very little cool stuff to show. Seems like JL, Kicker, and MTX were the only strong hands at CES...they had cool new stuff and nice set-ups.

Alpine's showing was incredible. Their marine products are hot, marinized PDX, 9886 and idax. Cool stuff. The boat was hot $h!t. What was even more impressive was that the boat was gutted to the hull and completely rebuilt on the top side.

JL's mustang sounded incredible, Kicker's L7's look nasty. Definitely going to be easier to step someone up from the L5's with the distinctive differences between the 2.

Alpine's booth has always been in a private meeting room outside of the main hall as best as I can remember.

Did anyone see any portable navigation systems down there? I couldn't seem to find any (note the sarcasm in my typed words). They were firckin everywhere! Stanley had portable nav in their booth. WTF!!! Unbelievable.

Clarion's MIND system was pretty cool also.

Db Drive's booth was pretty cool except for their choice of representatives. Who in their right mind would put Estes and Jimbo in their booth thinking that these 2 @$$ clowns could generate any business for them. cheers

Did anyone else check out the Microsoft auto booth? That scares me. We are all going to have our cars blue screen while driving down the interstate. Nice. We will have to pull over and reboot our cars several times each day. Better plan on it taking an extra 15 minutes or so to get to work. HA!

I would have to say that attendance was certainly down. It was obvious by walking around. Even the cabbies noticed that the show doesn't have the draw that it once did. Maybe time for a venue change. I dunno.

Yes they were talking. Either Florida or Chicago, but it is staying in Vegas. It will be the weekend again not early in the week.

What did i post months ago??? Ces would not be that great at least on the 12volt side even Usaci did not have a booth wow times are changing, Sema is off the chain!!!

2008 will see more major shake up's in 12volt.

Actually SEMA was no better i paid attention this year.. Was more foot traffic and booths in the 12volt side at CES than SEMA.. True story. Id say almost a night and day difference. And Truley to me Sema was boring .. Kickers Big Air Bash was the only thing i enjoyed at Sema.

The 12volt side has gone up at sema for the last three years, ces has lost 12volt customers for the last five years,

P.s. a major player in 12 volt car audio just started handing out pink slips today, i won't say who they are but it's just a start. Sad
