What Class?

I'll be in the NOOB class...aka....I have no idea. My amp has a rms rating by the manufacturer for 500w @ 4 ohms...got it on two L7 15 solos.

Will be my first-ever show.

I had researched joining you guys, but my offshore schedule prohibits me from reaching the requirements you guys demand--number of shows to attend this season. Maybe in the future...?

well If you have the box under the window and it fits in the cargo area then you could run stock if you only have 1 battery in the back or you can run mod or Sb3

The box takes up the entire cargo area of the pic in the Avatar (Merc. Mountaineer) and is below the window. I do not have any battery in the back. Does that really make that big of a difference? I have a yellow top under the hood, but that's all...no other battery or cap. What class do you suspect I have the best chances in?

When whoever that is originally posted this announcement, I wrote it on the calender and was stoked about going to my first show ever since.

Then the "day of" all sorts of things were going wrong. It was like I wasn't supposed to go or something. Some higher power type of thing going on--straight up hating on me.

My babysitter wasn't to be found, my mom had to show some houses (real estate broker), my cousin was shopping....finally my lil sister called me and said she'd watch em. YAYYY So....packed all of their stuff, brought them over to my sis, and came back home, only to realize that I locked myself outta my house. All of the windows were closed except for the upstairs bathroom. I hooked up the ladder and started ascending it. About halfway up, the right side leg started going down into the soft soil. The ladder went sideways with me on it and came crashing down onto the picnic table. I wasn't hurt, so no biggie, right? Well, sitting upon said picnic table was a BNIB 12-pack of beer. ARGHHH Bottles were shattered--not all, but about 8 of em. Finally got into my house, only to realize that the front door--that we never use--was UNLOCKED the whole time.

Alright...alright...calm down Aaron. Everything's gonna be cool.

Got my stuff together and headed out. Then one of my other sisters call me to say that Jodi (the babysitting sister) told her I was going to a show. I replied in the affermative. She then demanded that I go pick her up. I turned around and headed to her house to get her. Keep in mind that all I know is the physical address of the place (Mobile One) and the time of the first event--5pm. It's now nearing 2 and I don't really know how to get there or how long it's going to take....will the traffic be bad....don't you have to be registered an hour or two prior to the beginning of the first event? I backtracked and went pick her up anyways.

Now I'm speeding to get there. Get off of I-10, with Melanie (my sister) reading the directions I had her draw up from Yahoo maps. I take the Clearview Parkway exit as she suggested I do, only to be immediately given the choice North or South....north or south...north or south...."MELANIE--NORTH OR SOUTH?!?!" Her reply--"Oh, ma bad, South for .8 miles, and it's going to be on your left." La Dee Daa.....0.8 miles later I'm looking on my left for Mobile One....not to be found. go a lil further...still not there. "Aaron, when you got off of I-10, did you go North or South on Clearview?" South, Mel. "Oh, well no wonder you can't find it. You were supposed to go North." Crazy azzz biotch...you were the one to tell me South. Alright.....La Dee Daa....a few miles later, finally find a place to turn around that doesn't have 17 "no left turn" signs around it. Make the U and head back North this time. Came over the I-10 overpass and began to try to locate Mobile One on the left side......HEY....there it is. Finally, and about time. It's after 4pm now. Wow, there's not much competition. In fact, everyone's either later than me, or I'll be competing against 6 cars. Noone's here. Nothing's going on WTF??? Noone's outside, except for this hott chick who's parked all crazy....looking at the undercarriage of her jacked up GMC truck like she hit a lil ol lady and was worried that she was leaking trans. fluid. She's talking on a cell while I pass behind her and I had to admire her undercarriage as well. It was a pretty good one--in tight jeans. Anyways--Go inside, wait my turn in line (yea at the sales desk), then get the question of the day, "Sir, may I help you?" Ummm, yea, I'm wanting to sign up for the sound show...is that going to be here, or at another Mobile One location? "It's going to be here, but you're a lil early." Oh yea, well, the website said 5pm....I was under the impression that 5pm was the start time of the first event. I figured that registration would have to take place somewhere around.....like....now. "Dude, it's next Saturday." Huh? For real? "Yea bro, the 22nd." Umm, okay, thanks. Feeling like Warren from 'There's Something About Mary,' has anyone seen my ball? I've lost my ball. Have you seen it? (Warren's ball=Aaron's sound show)

Determined not to make it a wasted day, I head back home, and plan to detour through Houma. I've heard that a local retailer there, Diamond C audio will let you beat up their Termpro for a small fee. My goal for the day was to see how much I'm hitting with the new system, so off to Diamond C I go. Now I can't find their shop....ooooh, but there's Tiger Audio. Lemme see if they can put a meter on my dash. The dude there said that he's got a Termlab, but he's not gonna put it in my car...something about only using it for SQ and having to get it calibrated too often after testing SPLs.

Buuuuuttttt....he does give me the number for Diamond C. I leave Tiger's shop and head in the direction I think Diamond C's shop is located. Punch in the number and get the answering machine. "....hour of operation are blah blah blah Monday to Friday, 8am-2pm Saturday." ARGHHHH Now I'm feeling like Dr. Claw at the end of every Inspector Gadget cartoon I've ever watched. With clinched fist banging my middle console I growl, "Next time Gadget....next time." Meaning that next time I'm off of work I'll find out what I am SPLing...even if I have to buy one of the $500 Termlabs from Ralph.

So, ummm, yea...and now I'm 84 miles south of the nearest landmass in the Gulf of Mexico while you guys are shining up your rims and preparing to go to Mobile One. Yea, I'm hating--jealous--whatever. You'd be too. lol Someone please post results and stuff after it's over with. Thanks.

No I didnt run today No one ran SB which was a suprise down here. I know Bret 2003F150 did a 156.1 at 44hz in Mod 1000-2000
Pat from Empress Audio did a 154.7 in Prostock 601-1800
Brett "Skip01" did a 148.1 with 1 12 in Supermod 8000+
