| I am actually pretty good at teaching myself. i have been running a little 4/25 watt amp with 4 subs total cost of less than 400$(2 JL w1s and two Cheapest memphis ya can find). I might not be setting world records but that is the goal. I guess I could buy a CRX and some kickers just like everyone else. | |

| Here's what I have been told and been doing this year. 3-15" subs all the way across facing forward for Outlaw. Big slot port across the back. Lots of power, test, test, test, and test some more. S-10's tune from 56 hz to 71 hz depending on the year. That's about all I know about them. If doing sealed on the dash, have to change box configuration to get the most out of it. Supposedly dynamat can help or hurt you. | |

| 2-15's and a slot are good for 50's, we are hoping to get a little higher than that, if I can find some batteries laying around the shop. | |

Those are some sick numbers man!!! And everyone thinks you need a rex to get loud. Much props man. I can guess what you are capable of in 0-600, if there are bets on finals my money is definately on you!!

| Damn Phinney. I have a feeling your a little sore with the guy. And it was a 160.7 in 601-1800 prostock. But you can round up cause it was definatly capable.. But have to ask..This guy must have said Rex's are easy or S-10 are easy somewhere . This is what i got from this anyway. Now get busy and ready for finals BIRTHDAY BOY. I owe you some swats.. hehe | |

3 15s forward...slot port up .... that will help ya get to your 50 Yes, but that CRX you have was 4 dB louder than my truck with less power. Also 7 years of work in my S10 and about 3 days of work in that CRX. Not MAGIC, but there are a lot more proven designs.

Also 7 years of work in my S10 and about 3 days of work in that CRX. Not MAGIC, but there are a lot more proven designs. We did 3 days worth of work in your style S10 3yrs ago and did a 160.7 With over 16,000 watts of power (8 bd1500s on 16V). The CRX did 159s with about 5,000 watts of power and $250 woofers (not Kicker), and was 0.3 dB behind Josh with 4 amps on 3 12V batteries. I've had boxes just like Josh's in my truck with less woofer and/or power and they've never done anywhere near that number (mid to high 155 with 6,000 watts). I actually went over and helped him build that box one night with Kevin when you guys were unavailable. My truck may just be weird (3rd door vs. non 3rd door). Moral of the story -- if you know what you're doing, you can get loud in very few days. If you don't, well it will take a while, and be ready to test, test, test. All these ideas are good starting points, but it takes time and several sheets of wood before you get really loud.
