| I currently have a 96 impala ss with two 12" audiobahn aw1208t 1500rms . I want to be louder and put sum 15" subs in. The thing is I can only afford $400 per sub $800 total. All these speakers are in my price range Audiobahn Imortals 15" 2250rms ,Kicker L7 15" 1000rms, Hifonics olympus 15" 2400rms ,MTX 9500 15" 1000rms, Cerwin vega stroker 15" 2000rms(not a storker pro), RE Audio SX 15" 1000rms or MA Audio EHO154 15" 5000rms (haven't heard anything about MA) . Which will give me good db? I just want alot of boom.. | |

| Does the more RMS watts a sub can handle mean the louder the sub will hit? Will any of these speakers be louder then a JL 13w7? | |

| I currently have a Boss Ripper 3000w mono block D amp hooked up to the two Audiobahns in series. I also have a second Boss Ripper 3000w mono block D amp in the house. I had them hooked up in parallel but it was to much power for the Audiobahns. I think they push 1800w at 2ohms and are 1ohm stable. As for the box I am thinking slotted ported. | |

| My trunk is dino matted and I have actuators on the trunk lid to open the trunk to allow more air in .I also have about 6 tweeters, all audiobahn upgrade speakers and kick pannels with mid range speakers in the inside. The 2 12" audiobahn aw1208t that I have in the trunk are Ok but I am sure I can be louder with 2 15" subs.I`m just looking for 2 15" subs under $400 each that will rattle the hell out the trunk and make allot of ground shaking bass that can be heard. | |

Totally agreed. I'm an audiobahn guy, and the eternal, in my opinion is actually better than the immortal, b/c of the voicecoils. But that's what I needed for my amp (2000w @1ohm). If you end up chosing Audiobahn, research your amp's stability and be sure to get the right one. Been jammin my AWES15P for over a year now, and am very satisfied. A lot of people talk trash about this brand, but I have had no problems, although I'm not into trophy-taking (at the moment). I'm like, you, I just want to be loud. One of these broke my rearview mirror off, broke both hinges on my back glass, as well as the glass itself on the vehicle on my avatar.

| I personally have seen the SX 15's take 5K beating. But i think the main thing is getting the right enclosure that works for your ride, with the power you plan to run. Everyone has spit out what subs to use but havent thought about the other two figures in the equasion. something to think about? | |

| my bad, i thought i read the rest of the thread.
It looks like we found out the power. How large of gauge wire are you running to the amps. and how large of fuses are in each. You may of been clipping the amps with to small of gauge wire and not enough power(battery or alternator) to supply. you can figure out the max wattage of the amps via the fusing and voltage. the effiency of the amp I would figure to be no more than 60%. Might look here to before you change subs, this is a building block process and with a few week links even the best product can sound like crap and fail.

| I am running 0 guage from the battery to the 5 farrad cap with 125 amp fuse, then I am runing 4 gauge with 125 amp fuse to the amp and using 10 guage speaker wire. I am looking for daily driver 15" subs that well hit harder then the two audiobahn 12" aw1208t that I have. My friend got two 13w7 and his ride hits allot harder then mine. I only have $800 to spend on two 15" subs and I want to try to be as loud or louder then his ride. | |

| I have one yellow top battery and the alternator puts out 160 amps. The two 12" audiobahns are set up for 1 ohm load each. So I am putting 2 ohm load on the amp. The subs are rated 1500w rms each, dual 2 ohm and I got them in a custom built slotted ported box by a system store. It`s ok but I want to try and top my firends set up since I got a little extra money. | |

| american bass make a nice 15.. bout 300 buck VFL.. one of those with alot of power sounds great.. cheaper and pretty loud..but honestly every one has their own opinion..i have seen "crap" subs get really loud and "good"sub sound just as loud as the weaker sub..enclosure has a whole lot to do with it .. good luck man.. | |
