my was a pioneer also touch the remote wire one day and then noise. but if you are running a 16+ volt setup i have found it is best to have your 12volt battery grounded to the higher voltage bank, if not you get all kinds of crazy noises.

| I can pull my hu out and tap on it the subs go nuts so im guessing its the hu internal problems. The amps are running off an bridge module, not daisy chained. From it one channel to one set and the other to the second set.Im using a clarion vrx765vd touchscreen. | |

When you unplug the rca, does the noise go away?

For the record we put a safety circuit on the RCA's. If a bad spike goes through the system because of pulling the RCA's while the system is on or over gaining and clipping the signal it will cause the safety circuit to go. It is not the Pioneer head unit causing the issue ...

| I took the rca's out of the amps and there is no roaring,so the amps must not be causing the problem, going to check further today.Im just going to work backwards until i get to the hu and eliminate everything one by one and then try grounding the rca's at the hu. | |

| Get a good set of shielded rca cables. Run it on the outside first to see if that solve the prob. Also, Is the ground from the HU on the factory harness or a seperate ground to the chassy. | |

Mine too, often times what happens is the RCA's in the rear of the car touch a 12 volt positive and this "burns out" the trace inside the HU. The simple way to fix, keeping your rca's plugged in!!...you take a wire (8" or so) thats stripped back about a full inch and a half and divide it in half.... ah hell easier to just draw it....
