| okay, ive got 3 kicker kx1200.1 amps.. and i have a solo x 18, im getting a new recone for the 07' model..
when the 1200's are strapped together do they have to be running at a two ohm load? idea: get a dual 4 ohm recone kit and wire in parallel to get a 2 ohm hook up? would the three amps strap together still and make a 2 ohm output? or would i have to go with an even number of amps to get that?
or i will put this as simple as possible... i have 3 kx1200.1's and a solo x 18...my new recone will either be dual 2 ohm, or a dual 4 ohm.. which cone should i get so i can run all 3 of my amps (if possible)

| well, i have a dual 2 ohm right now.. and im only running one of my amps to it.. ive got it wired to 1 ohm... and kicker no longer makes dual 1 ohm recones, so the only choice that i really have (if i want to add more of my amps) is to get the dual 4 ohm, and wire it to 2 ohms, .. ..strapped they run at 2 ohm load.. i just like the kx1200.1's, if i got one more it would be no problem, just trying to make do with what ive got right now. | |

| they will go lower than 2ohm strapped, how low, not real sure..... But even strapped you are not getting enough for that sub... | |

| can't strapped 3 amps. What ohms load depends on lots of factor. Is it going to be a daily driver or for spl? Like everyone said need more power. | |

| why not get a 4th 1200 and strap a pair on each coil with dual 2 ohm coils??????????? that would work | |

| ive thought about putting one on each coil, but with two seperate amps, it could give an uneven amount of power to one coil or the other, thus damaging the woofer...
believe me i know its underpowered severely! haha ive been running only one 1200.1 on it for the longest, and it was hitting low 148's on the dash btw, it is my daily driver, i like my system to be loud.. its in a 1995 ford explorer in a ported box.

| get the 4th amp and strap a pair per woofer.
There is no way to hook 3 amps up to 4 coils and it be good.
I do believe that there are 1ohm coils made. !!! |

| i was looking on the kicker website, and all that i saw made for the 07 models was the 2 and 4 ohm.... if i could find me an old model 1 ohm, that would be nice.. | |

| okay, so i sold my 1200's and i bought a kx2500.1 ..... damn what a difference, im getting another recone though, is the 2500 stable at .5 ohm? i know the speaker probly wont handle that for long, but if i had a dual one ohm recone then i can just switch cones for competition and for daily driving... | |
